Mary Jane Brown was born on September 8, 1927, in St. Louis, Missouri to parents, Edward S. Brown Sr. and Clara A. Gruss Brown.She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Edward S. Brown Jr. and her husband of 60 years, Alvin Lee McDaniel Jr.They most recently lived in Mesquite, Texas.She is survived by her 6 children, 9 grandchildren and 3, soon to be 4, great grandchildren, daughter Judy and husband, Sam Williamson of Dallas, TXdaughter Janet and husband, Joe Rodriguez of Ft. Worth, TX; granddaughters, Jessica, and Jane, step daughter Betsy and husband, Rick Keith of Magnolia, TX; grandsons, Christopher, Justin, and Shawn; great-grandchildren, Jillian, Brady, and Austin, son, Alvin Lee McDaniel III (Chip)daughter, Maria and husband, Don Henderson of Heath, TX; grandson, Alexander Thompson (Zander), son, John and wife, Shannon McDaniel of Leander, TX; granddaughters Camryn, Ryanne, and Avery.She was a high school graduate of Ursuline Academy of Dallas.Jane was the definition of a homemaker, establishing households in Dallas, Birmingham, New York, Houston, Atlanta, Mesquite and Holly Lake. She was an accomplished seamstress, avid gardener, prize winning quilter, costume maker, and birthday cake baker at the very the least. Mom loved being surrounded by her family, planning, and preparing for gatherings of all occasions.When planning menus for a family gathering, she always worried, “Do you think we have enough?” Of course, we were blessed with more than enough!
