Mary Jane McGowan, age 86, of Rowlett, TX and passed away on August 18, 2019 in Rowlett, TX. She was born on February 15, 1933 to Floyd Rogers and Noma Pinkerton in Ben Wheeler, TX.Mary married Bobby J McGowan on August 19, 1949 in Dallas, TX. Mary McGowan was a strong Christian woman who loved her Lord and her family. She and husband, Bobby were loving parents to their three daughters. She taught Children’s Sunday School and cared for young children in her home, including her grandchildren. She prayed faithfully and love to sing hymns. Mary’s favorite hymn was “Blessed Assurance”. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby J McGowan. She is survived by her three daughters, Martha Shipley of Cosby, TN, Donna Adams of Rowlett, TX and Beth Chillura of Lavon, TX; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.Visitation for Ms. Mary McGowan will be on Thursday, August 22, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. A graveside service will take place on Friday, August 23, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Garden of Ascension at Restland Cemetery.Funeral arrangements have been faithfully entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, which is located at 13005 Greenville Avenue, at the intersection of Restland Road, Dallas, Texas 75243.
