Mary Edna Melton was born on October 26, 1924 in El Paso, Texas and passed away on February 17, 2015 in Dallas, Texas. Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Siddie and Bedford Maveety; husband, Jack D. Melton and granddaughter, Kortni Marshall. Mary is survived by two daughters, Maurine Cox of EI Paso and Barbara Marshall of Richardson; two sons, Jack Melton and wife, Marty of Dallas, and Bill Melton of McKinney; seven grandchildren, Kara Carter and husband, Doug of Dallas, Kimberly Marshall of Richardson, Albert Cox of Ft. Worth, Marcus Cox and wife, Carlene of Irving, Robert Cox of Abilene, and Laura Smyer and husband, Scott of Carrolton; and five great grandchildren, Taylor Cox, Kendall Cox, Olivia Smyer, Brooklyn Mitchell, and Hendrix Carter. The visiation for Mary will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at Restland Funeral Home In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Park Cities Baptist Church or Walnut Place Assisted Living 5515 Glen Lakes Drive Dallas, Texas 75231
