Mary Ellen Moody's Obituary
Mary Ellen Moody, 95 died in Lancaster, Pennsylvania on Saturday, March 28, 2015. Mary was born in Dallas, Texas and resided there until she moved to Brewster, New York with her only daughter, Carolyn. She was the daughter of the late Louis Martin Schott and Mollie Lewis and the loving wife of the late Horace A. Moody. Mary retired as a bookkeeper from the First Baptist Church of Dallas, Texas in 1984. She had five brothers and sisters, Ruel Schott, Lewis Schott, Harry Schott, Roy Schott and Cara Lee Rounsaville all passed before her. Mary’s hobbies were plastic canvas, crocheting and china painting. She was an avid bowler and had collected many patches and trophies over the years. She is survived by her only daughter and best friend, Carolyn Kay Moody. They spent the last 23 years together living in Brewster, New York and for the last five of those years in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She was the member of Covenant United Methodist Church in Lancaster. She was a great lady and will be missed by all her knew her. A viewing will be held at Restland Funeral Home on Thursday, April 2, 2015 from 7pm to 9pm followed by a graveside service at 11am on Friday, April 3, 2015 also at Restland.
