Mary Frances Moore's Obituary
MOORE, MARY FRANCES GAY, December 20, 1918 – August 9, 2007. Born to James Edward Gay & Laura Jack Foster Gay in Navarro County, Texas. She is survived by son Harlan E. Moore & wife Gayle of Wills Point, daughter Nelda J. Martin of Plano and sister Elise Brinkley of Sugar Land, Texas, three grandsons and their wives: Troy E. & Cheryl Moore, Glenney D. & Susan Martin, and Bruce P. & Kim Martin, great granddaughters Brandi, Holli, Sarah, Jennifer and Alissa and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband Teener Erskine Moore, brothers Kenneth and James and sisters Celeste, Christine, Mae, and Katherine. She was a member of Rylie First Baptist Church and taught Sunday School Classes there for many years. She volunteered at Southeast Dallas Food Bank for more than ten years and also served on the Dallas Parks and Recreation Centers Senior Citizens Advisory Board. Frances liked family gatherings, fishing and traveling. She traveled extensively in the United States, Canada and Europe. She was also an avid reader. She read completely through the Bible more than a dozen times in addition to the studying that she did as a teacher. Service will be held Monday, August 13, 2007 at Rylie First Baptist Church in Dallas. Burial will follow at Richland Cemetery in Mertens, Texas. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Community Hospice of Texas, 1341 W. Mockingbird Lane, Suite 2lOE, Dallas, TX 75247.
