Mary Hope Munoz's Obituary
Mary Hope Munoz, age 94, of Allen, Texas passed away on April 20, 2019. She was born on June 7, 1924, in New Orleans, Louisiana to Joaquin Hernandez and Maria del Refugio Hernandez.Mary Hope Hernandez married Rudy Munoz on May 7, 1949 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Dallas, Texas. After marriage to Rudy, she was a mother and homemaker for 13 years and then went to work at Merchants State Bank in Dallas for 17 years. Her next employment was a bookkeeper for Penrose-Zachary Oil Operating Company in downtown Fort Worth for 16 years. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of Americas, Court Madonna 1817 and Ladies of Charity Dallas for 37 years.Mary Hope is preceded in death by her husband, Rudy Munoz after 60 years of marriage. Also preceding her is her parents, Joaquin and Maria del Refugio Hernandez; her brother, Manuel M. Hernandez and her sister, Carlotta Hernandez.She is survived by her daughters, Mary Magdalene Munoz Taylor and her husband, Mickey Taylor of McKinney, Texas and Mary Hope Munoz of Allen, Texas; her granddaughter, Carrie Taylor Weatherly and her husband, James Weatherly of Allen, Texas; her great-grandsons, Parker James Weatherly and Cooper James Weatherly of Allen, Texas. She is also survived by her sisters, Carmen Rios and Connie Sosa, both of Fort Worth, Texas. Pallbearers will be Jeff Vasquez, Greg Vasquez, Jenaro Borjas, J.J. Borjas, Richard Cuellar, Earl Peter Pavageau, Jr. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the American Heart Association.Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Avenue in Dallas, Texas. The Rosary will be recited on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at 7:00 PM at St. Jude Catholic Church at 1515 Greenville Avenue in Allen, Texas. The Mass will be celebrated on Monday, April 29, 2019 at 1:30 PM at St. Jude Catholic Church in Allen, Texas. The interment will immediately follow at Restland Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
