Mrs. Mary Wynell Dolloff Nicholson's Obituary
Mrs. Mary Wynell Dolloff Nicholson, 82, of Cedar Hill, peacefully passed away Wednesday evening, August 10, 2022, at her residence. She was born November 18, 1939 in Goldthwaite, TX, adopted daughter of the late Thomas and Jewel Dolloff.
Mary is survived by her devoted husband of 66 years, H. E. Nicholson; two sons, Tommy
(Malinda), and John; and beloved "Nanny" to four grandchildren, Jonathon (Alicia), Tiffany,
Brittany, and Jacob; and seven great-grandchildren, Ethan, Aubrey, Mason, Maxwell, John, Ryder, and Gage.
She was a member of Oak Crest Baptist Church family whose unwavering faith in our Heavenly Father allows us to now picture them walking hand in hand. Mary was an incredibly creative soul who will be fondly remembered by loved ones in her kitchen, garden, or art studio. She had the gift of gab and is especially remembered for making you feel seen and heard.
She was an accomplished woman who raised her boys and flowers while leading Dallas ISD's Nutrition Department and later managing Friendship Towers Senior Home. In her retirement she was a long-time volunteer of both Charleton Methodist Hospital and Cedar Hill Police Department.
She will be forever cherished by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation is Monday, August 15, 2022, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Funeral Services will be
held Tuesday, August 16 at 10:00 am at Restland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial gifts be made to the Dementia Society of America.
