Mary Kathryn Norris' Obituary
Mary Kathryn Roberts Norris, of Frisco, Texas, passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior on Wednesday, December 16, 2020, at the age of 85. She had a saving faith in Jesus Christ and it brings her family great joy to know that she is with her Heavenly Father and that they will see her again.
Mary Kathryn was born in Arapaho, Oklahoma and was the fifth of six children born to the late James Thomas Roberts and Tommie Nell Jones Roberts. She enjoyed a happy childhood in Clarksville, Texas where she was loved by her family and friends. Her outward beauty was matched only by her inward beauty. She graduated from Clarksville High School in 1951.
When Mary Kathryn was 15 years old, she met the one love of her life, Harold Edward Norris, who she would marry in Clarksville on January 28, 1956. Their wonderful marriage and their three children were a constant source of happiness and fulfillment for Mary Kathryn. They lived in Dallas for many years before moving to Frisco, Texas. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family was her passion and
she loved each of them selflessly and sincerely, never happier than when she was making a warm and inviting home for them or blessing them with some special kindness. Her hands were rarely still. After her children left home to marry and start families of their own, her years with her husband Harold were rich and fulfilling as they never wavered in their love for one another or in their enjoyment of each other’s company. They were the very best of friends. Mary Kathryn is survived by her husband, Harold Norris; her three children: daughter Lisa Flagg and husband Brett, of Frisco, Texas; son Scott Norris and wife Mary Jane, of Bulverde, Texas; and daughter Jennifer Richardson and husband Gene, of Dallas,Texas. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Ashley Langdon (Wendell), Baker
Flagg, Tyler Taylor (Josh), Haley Flagg, Caroline Richardson, Daniel Richardson and Kathryn Richardson; three great-grandchildren, Ainsley Taylor, Soren Taylor and Walker Langdon, and by her brother Jones Wayne Roberts of Sulphur Springs, Texas and her sister Nelda Crawford of Paris, Texas.
Memorial gifts may be made to Dallas Baptist University (Harold Norris Endowed
Scholarship Fund); 3000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211.
