Mary C. Ogilvie's Obituary
OGILVIE, MARY COUCH was born on September 8, 1911 in Munday, Texas and passed away January 24, 2013 in Dallas, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy M. Ogilvie; her parents, Ada and Carlton Couch of Haskell, TX; her sister, Sue Couch Baxter; and her brother, R. C. Couch, Jr. Mary was an English teacher in Munday, Haskell, and Van, TX after graduating from Baylor University in 1932. She also worked at Johnston Printing and Advertising Company for several years. Mary belonged to Gaston Oaks Baptist Church (formerly Gaston Avenue Baptist) for over 50 years, serving on the flower and food service committees as well as singing in the choir. Mary enjoyed working crossword puzzles, playing bridge, and reading. She was a member of the Dallas Women’s Forum and the Rejebian Book Club, serving 2 years as president. Mary was survived by her stepsons, Jack Ogilvie and wife Evelyn of Rockwall, TX and Charles Ogilvie and wife Chomel of Sun City, TX; many step-grandchildren; nieces, Mary Ann Ashby and husband John of Celina, TX, Beth Eikenburg of Seguin, TX, Jerre Sue Moore and husband Bill of Las Vegas, NV; nephew, Riley Couch III of Dallas, TX; many great-nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews, as well as many dear friends. Family will receive friends from 2pm to 4pm, Sunday, January 27, 2013 at Restland Funeral Home. Graveside service will be 2pm, Monday, January 28, 2013 at Willow Cemetery in Haskell, Texas.
