Mary Judith Parkhouse (née Roberts), 76, of Richardson, Texas was born on February 20, 1943 in De Queen, Arkansas to Olan and Mary Ila Roberts, passed away on December 6, 2019.On April 11, 1965, she married Jerry Wayne Parkhouse in Dallas, Texas. Jerry and Judy (as she was known to her friends and family) purchased their first home on Westfield Drive in Dallas, Texas before settling in what would become the family home on Melrose Circle in Richardson, Texas. For nearly fifty years, “The Circle” was her home – a home rich with countless beautiful memories of her husband, her children and the many friends that became a part of her extended family.In 1965, Judy graduated Texas Woman’s University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She spent nearly 40 years as a nurse, 37 of which were spent working in women’s health at Presbyterian Hospital Dallas. “Presby Dallas” was a very special place where she not only cared for patients, but also mentored nurses and made many lifelong friends.Judy was an incredibly warm and loving mother with a wonderful sense of humor. She lived a life that stressed the importance of striving to do what is right, doing your best, putting on your best face and always with grace – even in the face of hardship, adversity … or loss. She was a humble person with the heart of a servant who radiated love, kindness and loyalty – someone who always gave abundantly and who always looked for the good in people around her.She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jerry; her parents, Olan and Ila; and her brothers, Phil and Larry.She is survived by her son, Michael and his wife; her daughter, Kerry and her husband; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.Graveside services will be held on Friday, December 20, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Restland Cemetery (Abbey Estates), 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Texas Woman’s University Foundation, College of Nursing Annual Fund, P.O.
