Mary Patterson Hook's Obituary
Mary Patterson Hook, 81, of Richardson, Texas passed away peacefully on December 31, 2019 in Richardson Texas. Mary is survived by her husband, Bob, whom she’s been married to for 62 years; daughters Laura Koloc and Lisa Roehrig & son-in-laws Chris and Rick. Her loving four grandchildren, Katie Roberts, Danielle Hamilton, Bailey Redington and Bobby Roehrig and two great-grand children, Dayton Hamilton and Charles Stanley Roberts. Her three siblings also survive her.
Mary was born on March 23, 1938, in Sharon, PA. Her passion was working with and caring for children in and out of the classroom. She was an advocate for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Mary was a Chaplin and volunteer at Richardson Methodist Hospital for over 20 years. Along with traveling the world, Mary was active in her church and the North Dallas Women’s Club.
A memorial service for Mary will be held at Messiah Lutheran Church, her home church for 29 years at 1801 West Plano Parkway, Plano, TX 75075 on Saturday, January 18 at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
