Mary Ann Perrin's Obituary
Mary Ann Shoemaker Perrin passed away December 9th, 2015 at 2:00 AM as a result of heart and lung failure. Mary was born July 23, 1930 in Henry County, Missouri into a prominent farming family. Her deceased parents are Owen Lynn and Jewell Randel Shoemaker. She is preceded in death by her sister Shirley Eberting, brother Edward Shoemaker and several dear in- laws. She is survived by her husband Dr. Robert Wayne Perrin, son Robert Lynn Perrin, daughter Peggy Ann Burns, granddaughters Chelsey Lynn Perrin and Emily Katherine Burns, grandsons Robert Daniel Burns IV, great grandsons Adam Perrin and Cayden Leo Pombeiro, brothers John Shoemaker and Robert Shoemaker, sister-in-laws Margaret Shoemaker, Dorothy Carroll, Mary Ann Perrin and many dear cousins, nieces, and nephews. Mary was loved and will be missed by all as a wife, mother, neighbor, an friend. She lived early in Henry County, Versailles, Stockton and Clinton, Mo. She graduated from honors from Clinton High School in 1948 subsequently working at the school, at Henry County Library and with Missouri Public Electric Service. She was a member of the Christian Church. In 1955 Mary moved to Dallas, Texas with her friend Sue Belton to work at Seaboard Oil Company. She met and married Robert Wayne Perrin in the First Methodist Church and began her lifelong devotion to her family and others. Mary was known for her decorating skills with house, food, flowers, and accessories. She was a collector. “Two is a collection.” She was a whiz with ribbons and bows and often sought for her wrapping and arranging skills. She was a devout Christian, a member of the Wedding Ring Class and of the University Park Methodist Church. She enjoyed her dear friends in the Third Wednesday Lunch Club and the Bard and Ballad Book Club each meeting monthly for over fifty years. Mary lived through the golden years active and cheerful overcoming her health and mobility problems. She deeply appreciated help from family and friends. Memorials may be made to University Park Methodist Church, 4024 Caruth Blvd., Dallas, Texas 75225 or the charity of your choice. A graveside service will be held at Restland Memorial Park, Dallas, Texas at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 12th for family, friends and any who wish to come. A Memorial service and reception will be held at University Park United Methodist on Saturday, December 12th at 3:00 PM. For those who wish, viewing will begin at 5:00- 8:00 PM on Friday, December 11th at Restland Funeral Home.
