Mary Preskitt's Obituary
PRESKITT, MARY Was born on December 12, 1920, in Creston, Montana, to Curtis Charles Shoemaker and Verna L. Shoemaker. She passed away quietly at home on January 16, 2011. Throughout her life she remained a devout Christian, committed to her faith, family, and church. She was one of eleven children. Mary grew up in Kalispell, Montana. She met Stanley V. Preskitt in Spokane, Washington, and they married on August 26, 1944. Mary is survived by her husband of 66 years, Stanley V. Preskitt, of Dallas, Texas; her children, Maureen Cleveland and husband Bill; Dr. John Preskitt and wife Rebecca; and Randy Preskitt and wife Pam; six grandchildren, William Cleveland, Matthew Cleveland, Elizabeth Preskitt, John Preskitt, Jr., Charles Preskitt, and Brian Preskitt. She is also survived by her brother, George Shoemaker, and sister, Doris Lockridge, and sister-in-law, Joyce Ruminer. A memorial service will be held at Highlands Christian Church, 9949 McCree Road, Dallas, Tx, on January 27, 2011, at 1:30 p.m. A reception will be held at the church immediately after the service.
