Our thoughts and prayers are with all of your family. EC and Mary Louise were always special to us. Jim & Gayle
My dear Mary Louise assisted Dr. E.C. Rowand with our wedding on February 15, 1964. Such a great lady with beauty and powerful faith. I still see her in the santuary sitting on the third pew and as Dr Rowand left the pulpit; would stop and offer his arm, and both would walked to the front door. They would remain their for almost an hour, offering comfort and sharing joys. The many wonderful trips to England, Greece and Holy Land with E.C. and Mary Louise as "Our Fearless Leaders". What a TEAM they made. When I thought of one, I always thought of them together and now once again, they have joined hands and are with our Lord. Ellen Wagner Roberts
Mary Louise was an inspiration and a blessing to my life as a young Christian woman in the Christian Church/Disciples of Christ. Her vitality and her true love for, and dedication to serving God made a big impact on my desire to be a part of the life of the church. Our sympathy to her dear family — we share your grief. Love, in Christ, Carol and Jim Archer
God Speed Mary Louise. You were always so gracious to me – displaying such vitality and joy. Just last week, I was thrilled to see your picture and name displayed at Dallas City Hall as one of the YWCA's One Hundred Women for One Hundred Years. So, carry on … singing praises and shining with God's grace. And, thank you.
Diane and Eddie and your families. What a woman! An early advocate of ordained ministry for women and a passionate worker on ecumenical causes. A Disciple's Disciple. How she loved her ALLELUIA chasuble! May angels surround her and those myriad saints of Central, with E.C. in the lead, welcome her. May she rest in peace and rise in glory!
Mary Louise was a wonderful lady and will be greatly missed. I always enjoyed visiting with her each time I visit with my own mother at Stonegate. May she rest in peace knowing that her life was a blessing to this world. My sympathy to her family.
Mary Louise was such a wonderful friend and mentor to all of us young women who came to Central in the early 1960's. She always encourged me as a developing church woman. I will for every hold her in our hearts. We are so much better for having known her and E C. Our prayers and love are with you the family and the congregation who knew her. God hold her safe now.
I'll never forget MaryLouise's smile as I walked down the aisle with my son on my wedding day. She always gave me hope for a better tomorrow and cheered me on every step of the way. I miss your dear sweet soul. Bask in God's glory till we meet again, dear one. Big loving hugs, Marci, Bob & Adam
Please accept our deepest sympathy at the loss of your mother Mary Louise. She was a shining example of what women can accomplish! She was such a pioneer, one of the first fully ordained women ministers in Dallas, and on the Board of TCU, and the National President of Christian Womens Fellowship and Dallas Church Women United. We will miss her, and she was so beloved here at Central Christian Church. We will miss her great smile and her loving Christian attitude.
