MARY ELIZABETH ROWELL 1926-2025
Mary “Betty” Elizabeth Rowell, 98, of Richardson, Texas passed away peacefully in Plano, Texas on December 12, 2025, 4 days short of what would have been her 99th birthday.
Betty was born in Ardmore, Oklahoma on December 16, 1926 to Thomas Nathan Brooks and Ruby Grace Golden Brooks.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Nathan Brooks and Ruby Grace Golden Brooks, brother, Jimmy Lloyd Brooks, sister Rae Marie Williams, step-son Danny Pat Rowell and her husband of 63 years, Hugh Everett Rowell.
She is survived by daughters, Kelley Swords (Steve), Tracey Fisher and Christy Castleberry (Gary), foster son, Jay Rowell, grandchildren, Elizabeth Smelser, Michael Swords (Gina), Heather Talton (Pete), Travis Swords (Kelli), Grace Castleberry and Chelsea Castleberry, great grandchildren, Avery Moon (Dustin), Molly Swords, Silas Talton, Wesleigh Talton, Tripp Swords and Luke Swords.
Family will receive visitors from 1:00PM-2:00PM, December 18, 2025 at Restland Memorial Chapel, 9001 Restland Rd, Dallas, TX 75243 with memorial service immediately following.
