Mary Willdene Rowland's Obituary
Willdene Rowland was born to Hubert and Willie Henslee near Wolfe City, Texas on June 13, 1920 and died on Thursday, March 7, 2019. She married William “WL.” Rowland in 1942 and had three sons: Michael Rowland, Malcoln Rowland, and Randy Rowland. She graduated from Midwestern State in Wichita Falls, then obtained her Master’s Degree from then North Texas State University. She was a teacher for 27 years for the McKinney, Texas and Richardson, Texas school districts. She and W.L. loved to square dance and went to 15 square dancing conventions during his lifetime. She continued to square dance on a regular basis until she was 91. She loved music and loved to sing along to popular and church music. She attended the Methodist Church. She is survived by her sons: Michael Rowland; Malcolm Rowland and his wife, Karen; and Randy Rowland; grandson, Dustin Rowland. Services will be Monday, March 11, 2019 at 12:00 p.m at Restland Abbey Chapel with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
