Mary O. Ryder's Obituary
Mary Osa Ryder, age 86, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 in Dallas, Texas. She was born on July 28, 1932 to Richard E. Stephens and Carolyn Stephens in Grand Island, Nebraska. She was a teacher and educational administrator at Colorado Women’s College and Mesa College, and a director of teacher certification at Colorado Department of Education. After retirement she moved to Dallas, Texas to be closer to family. She enjoyed the Emeritus Program at Richland College and particularly enjoyed reading to vision-impaired students and helping foreign students with their conversation skills. She also served on the board of her homeowner’s association.She is survived by her daughter, Marydel Harris of Dallas, Texas; son, Steve Ryder of Denver, Colorado; brother, R.E. Stephens, Jr. of Milford, Nebraska; four grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.A memorial service for Ms. Mary Ryder will take place on Friday, June 28, 2019 at 10:00 AM in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home.Funeral arrangements for Ms. Mary O.
