Mary Ruth Fitzgerald Shubert (Nanny) was born Sept. 25, 1934 in Dallas TX to Ambrose and Altha Fitzgerald.and passed away February 20, 2015 in Garland, Texas. She lived in the Dallas area her whole life. She was the youngest of 8 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her husband, Robert Shubert, whom she married March 20, 1958. This past year they celebrated 56 years together. Also left to cherish her memory are her 4 children: Rick Collins, Rocky SHubert, Brenda Hamilton & Tammy Smith. She was “Nanny” to her 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, with another great grandson due in June. Also surviving is her sister Susie Burkett. The visitation for Mary Shubert will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Restland Funeral Home. The service for Mary will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at 10:00 AM in The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
