Mary Louise Solat Pinac's Obituary
Mary Pinac, 73, suddenly and unexpectedly went to be with the Lord on September 30, 2020, while at home with the love of her life, her husband of 38 years Robert Pinac.
Mary was born November 30, 1946 in San Angelo, Texas, the daughter of Ernest and Blanche Marie “Deasie” Solat. Mary graduated from San Angelo Central High School in 1965. Following graduation, she attended The University of Texas, in Austin. Upon marriage to her first husband, Robert Sedwick, she transferred to Texas Tech University and graduated with a degree in Fashion Merchandising in 1969. After graduation, Mary moved to Dallas, working in the fashion merchandising business, marrying Robert Pinac on April 17, 1982, and with Robert, opening Cookies in Bloom in 1988. Along with running a successful business, she raised, loved and fiercely supported her family, made and treasured many wonderful friendships, including her beloved “Traveling Six Pack,” volunteered her time to many organizations such as Northwood Women’s Club, Stephen Ministry and Meals on Wheels, loved and adopted many dogs, and enjoyed bible studies, Mahjong, and Canasta.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Joseph Solat and Blanche Marie Copeland Solat. She is survived by her husband, Robert Edwin Pinac; her son, Todd Lawrence Sedwick, his wife, Shannon; her daughter, Elizabeth Marie Kluever, her husband, Chad; four grandchildren, Hannah Sedwick, Kennedy Kluever, Lauren Sedwick and Jackson Kluever; along with her “precious fur babies,” Sammy, Daisy, Zeus, and Gus.
A private service will be held on Tuesday October 6, 2020, at First United Methodist Church of Richardson. Due to Covid - 19 restrictions, live attendance has been limited, but the service will be live streamed at 3:45pm, via www.fumcr.com/live. A graveside burial service will be held Wednesday October 7, 2020 at 11:00 am, at Restland Cemetery located at 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243. The graveside burial is open to all who wish to attend, and COLORFUL casual attire is requested. Following the burial, the family invites all to a celebration of Mary’s life, taking place at 5936 Meadowcreek Drive, Dallas, Texas 75248.
