I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. John 14:18. Dear God, thank you for my parent’s life. Thank You for all the ways You loved me through my parent, all the things You taught me, all the ways You’ve blessed me. I treasure the memories that I have. Let me continue to learn from my parent, even now that my parent is no longer with me in this life. Again, what a beautiful thing to know that…”being absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord.” I am truly sorry to hear about your loss. We know how you feel. God understands. He is ready to meet us in a new way in the midst of this grief. He will not leave us as orphans.
