Mary Johanna Stone's Obituary
81, passed away on December 30, 2007, after a long struggle with cancer. She was born November 13, 1926, in St. Louis, MO. She worked at Brown Shoe Company in St. Louis and married Richard Farrell who preceded her in death. She later married Ivan Stone and moved to Dallas, Texas, where she raised five children. She was an executive secretary at KTVT, Channel 11, Gaylord Broadcasting Company. She worked for Amcole Energy and was later an executive secretary for Sun Oil Company which later became Oryx Energy. She was a longtime member of Christ the King Catholic Church of Dallas and was currently attending St. Francis of Assisi in Frisco. She has lived with her dear friends, Linda and Jim Bray, for the past three and a half years. She is preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Barbara Tortorici, and her sister, Fran Koch. She is survived by her sons, David Stone of Sugarland, Texas, and Rick Stone of Greenfield, Mass., grandsons Chris Stone, Matt Tortorici and Tim Stone, adopted granddaughter Lacy Bray Finn and adopted great-granddaughter Leila Finn, sister Lorraine Lee, nephew Brian Lee and niece Pat Fuchs. Mary’s love of life and her kind, caring ways will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
