Mary Ella Stuller's Obituary
Mary Ella Peak Stuller was born on March 20, 1920 in downtown Dallas, Texas to Clarence and Thelma Lee Peak and passed away on October 28, 2014 in Garland, Texas. Mary Ella lived in Dallas until she was five years old and then moved to Mishawaka, Indiana in 1925. She met Emerson “Doc” Stuller in the 6th grade, and they started dating their junior year and married on May 22, 1943. Mary Ella went to work as a maid in high school where she lived with the second family she worked for, went to school, and took care of their home, laundry and meals. Mary Ella graduated from Mishawaka High School in 1938. She was in the National Honor Society, participated in plays and musicals and was also in the Acapella choir. After high school, she went to work in an art store, a grocery store, and eventually worked as a secretary. After the war, Mary Ella and Doc moved to Dallas so he could attend SMU. She worked as a secretary until she had children and then went back to work after her children were in school. Mary Ella retired from Collins Radio in 1977. In 1984 they bought a place at Lake Fork in East Texas where they spent many wonderful days with family and friends. Mary Ella loved to read and work on crossword puzzles. Mary Ella is survived by her daughter, Susan White (Randy); son, Dean Stuller (Sue); grandchildren, Brain White (Gidget), Jeremiah Hayes, Evan Stuller, Lizzy DeCosta (Joey); great grandchild, Avery White. Mary Ella is preceded in death by her husband, Emerson “Doc” Stuller; parents, Clarence Peak Sr. and Thelma Forsburg; brother, Clarence Peak Jr.; grandchildren, Gregory White and Emily Stuller. The service for Mary Ella will be held on Friday, October 31, 2014 at 3:00pm at The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. The visitation for Mary Ella will be held one hour prior to service. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75238 In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Buckner International to the Emily Ann Stuller Endowment Fund, 214-758-8000.
