Mary Etta Tapp, 91, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 8, 2019, in Frisco, Texas. She was born on Friday, April 20, 1928, to her loving and thoughtful parents, John Levi Sheppard and Carrie Annice Ross in Dallas, Texas. Mary Etta Tapp will be sincerely missed by her loving family, her devoted friends and all the wonderful individuals who knew and loved her.She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, E. Ashley Tapp; parents, John and Carrie Sheppard and sister, Catherine Taylor.She is survived by daughter, Eugenia Tapp Evans (Charles); son, John Tapp (Dorothy); daughter, Carol Tapp Arbuckle (Murray); nine grandchildren, Lee Evans (Alisha), Courtney Evans Clark (John), Kirk Tapp (Cheryl), Ryan Tapp (Kelli), Travis Tapp (Michaela), Jennifer Arbuckle Gourley (DaWayne), Ashley Arbuckle (Dana), Adrian Arbuckle Ellis (Jeff), Rachel Arbuckle Browning (Jason) & 23 great grandchildren.Mary (Nannie) Tapp passed away after a lengthy illness surrounded by her loving family.Mary’s funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home located at 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, Texas 75243, with visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow the service at Restland Memorial Park in The Garden of Veterans II.In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to The America Cancer Society.Due to the extreme hot weather the family has requested all to dress causally.Funeral arrangements for Mary Etta Tapp have been faithfully entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, which is located at 13005 Greenville Ave., at the intersection of Restland Road, Dallas, Texas 75243, and can be reached at (972) 238-7111.
