Mary Ellen Taylor's Obituary
Born March 21, 1920 in Dallas, Texas Mary Ellen Taylor died peacefully on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at the Legacy at Willow Bend. She was held in high esteem by her family and her many, many friends. She was loved by all who knew her for her gentle heart, kind spirit, and sense of humor. She loved her life and lived it fully- and always with grace, joy, and generosity. She always had a kind word, a warm hug, and a twinkle in her eye. Her marriage to L. H. Taylor was known to all as a true-to-life love story that lasted 59 years. After starting and managing their own successful business for 45 years, Mary Ellen and Taylor retired in 1986. They began their travels, and visited all seven continents, making many new friends and discoveries along the way. They encouraged and nurtured their children, son: Bill Taylor and his wife, Linda, of Holly Lake Ranch, Texas; daughter: Carol Ann Bateman and her partner, Dr. Bob Kaman, of Pecan Plantation in Granbury, Texas. Mary Ellen is also survived by her granddaughter Kelly Snyder and her husband, Cody; and great grandson Mike Bateman of Plano, Texas. She was preceeded in death by her loving grandsons Boo and John Bateman. We celebrate her life with the love, humor, and devotion she so freely gave away.
