Mary Louise Brown Taylor's Obituary
I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me. Philippians 4:13
Mary was born on April 26, 1937, in Platter, Oklahoma, to Milton and Lillie Brown. Mary loved her spouse, Ralph Winford Taylor, with all her heart. They were married for 58 years. She loved Platter Baptist Church where she was a dedicated member for 50 years. She came to know the Lord there and loved her Church family dearly. She faithfully served as a Nursery worker and Sunday School Teacher. She was an LVN in her early days, where she worked as OB nurse. Mary retired from Texas Instruments of Sherman, Texas, where she served on the product construction line. In her free time, she loved helping care for the farm, canning her vegetables, and tending to the garden. She was known as a hard worker, and always determined to get her way in every situation. Her stubbornness and sass were a traits we all grew to love and respect. She loved to play basketball. She was a member of the State Championship Basketball Team for Colbert High School. She loved to watch the OKC Thunder and Dallas Mavericks every time she could. She loved cooking her homemade pies, fried foods, and the famous sweet tea and mac-and-cheese. She loved spending time with family that lived near and far. A quick call from a loved one would brighten her whole day. She passed on August 28, 2022 at her home in Platter surrounded by her dear family.
