Mary Linda Toland's Obituary
TOLAND ( MARY LINDA) MELINDA was born at St. Paul Hospital Dallas, Texas to Albert Dell Toland Jr. and Jane Margaret Huffhines Toland on April 9, 1945 both of whom preceded her in death. Melinda and her family moved to Taft , Texas when she was 3 yrs. of age. She went to elementary through the end of the eighth grade then moved back to Dallas. Melinda graduated from SMU in 1971 with a BA in Social Science with honors. She was a successful residential and commercial broker in the Dallas area until she retired in the late 90’s. She is survived by her nephew, Michael Steven Stamp his wife, Laura and their two children, Lisa and Sarah; niece, Julie Baldwin McMullin her husband, Mitchell and their children Amanda, Kimberley, Alex, Jacob and Evan; nephew, Christopher Winchester his wife, Tara and children Grayson, Ford and Wilson. Also her long time love and companion, Sean Perkins who loved and loves her dearly. She and Sean wish to thank the following for their care and support during her battle with cancer. Her two Angels-her hospice nurse-Kathy Fischer whom she came to love as a sister, her caregiver Natasha Anderson whom she came to love as a daughter. They also want to thank Dr. Donna Casey and Molly Ann Huie who helped send Kathy to her. She wants the following people to know they touched her life greatly, long time friends Mindy Sue Huie and Molly Ann Huie . Also, a special thank you to Linda Brown for her spiritual support. Services will be Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 3:00 PM in Restland Wildwood Chapel. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the SPCA.
