Mary Anne Warden's Obituary
Beloved Mary Anne Warden went to fly with the angels on Sunday, December 10th, 2023.
Deceased husband Jack received her as a birthday present on December 11th – his birthdate.
All knowing her pray now - hand in hand with Jesus as she wished and desired.
Born at her maternal grandmother’s home and named after her (Mary Gertrude Nutz) on 2-19-1929 to her mother Jewel Irene Garrison ( 1-31-1911 – 2-27-1988) who was from Muskogee Oklahoma and her father Chester Temple Yount from Denver, Colorado –
birth and death unknown, in Joplin, Missouri.
Her mother lost twins prior to her birth. There was also born a brother, Wayne Right Yount 11-23-1923 and a stepsister, Karen Suzanne Porpoth, both preceded her in death.
Mary Anne met Jack Arthur Warden (12-11-2926 – 10-11-2017) her high school/WWII Soldier boy and they fell in love and married 9-19-1947.
Jack pursued his education and career and they moved from Joplin, Missouri to Duluth, Minnesota, Fayette, Arkansas, Wichita, Kansas, Dallas, Texas, and Houston, Texas. Along the way they were blessed with three children.
They stayed in Houston for eight years again moving for Jack’s career to Dallas and finally to Richardson, Texas.
After a successful life as a loving wife and mother to her children, Mary Anne took off into an 18-year management career @ Marglo’s Inc. a resale outlet from The Dallas TradeMart. She loved her employment there helping designers and interior decorators as well as the average person looking for unique/unusual items to enhance their surroundings.
Soon after, unfortunately her husband at the age of 59 years old had a massive & disabling stroke, leaving her as the primary caregiver. She was the best caregiver and did everything she could to help.
During her journey as caregiver, she and her daughter Janet started a Mom/Daughter business called The Art Company 2. An unusual concept at the time, both painted together on the same artwork. It was a fun and exciting time that lasted for many years.
Jack was so proud of her artistic success.
Mary Anne is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Arthur Warden, and son, Steven Clay Warden.
She is survived by; her daughter, Marcy Anne Porter, grandchildren Kirsten, Rachel and Patricia and great-grandson Hayden; her daughter, Janet Lynn Warden; her daughter-in-law, Barbara K. Warden; her grandson Sean, his wife Victoria and their children, Lakynn, Peyton, Hayden and Brittany; and her grandson Matthew, his wife Melissa and their children, Oliver and Theo.
Mary Anne will be laid to rest in a graveside service at 2:30PM on Saturday, December 16, 2023, in the Restland Memorial Park.
God rest Mary Anne a good life of 94 years – she was Mother to all who knew her.
