Mary Eloise Weaver's Obituary
Born August 21, 1927 in Wolfe City, TX to L.D. Fikes and Ellen Jewell Darnell Fikes. Eloise graduated from Wolfe City High School in 1944 and attended Cousins Business School from 1944 to 1946. She was a member of LCC since 1949 where she played golf for many years, and she was also a member of Bay View Century Club, International Club of Dallas, and of First Prebyterian Church of Dallas where she volunteered with the Stewpot program. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Mae Woodruff, Barbara Carter, and Donna Fikes; and her husband of 52 years, Clark E. Weaver Jr. She is survived by her children: Marian Welch and husband Jerry of Dothan, AL, and Clark E. Weaver III, of Dallas, TX; grandchildren: Clark E. Weaver IV of Pittsburgh, PA, and Katheryn Haley Weaver of Fairfield, N.J.; brothers: L.D. Fikes of Hawkins, TX and Joe Bob Fikes and wife Kay of Lake Kiowa, TX; and sisters, Ava Nell Martin of Greenville, TX, and Madalyn Waddington and husband Jerry of Bonham, TX. Graveside service will be at 11AM Tuesday February 10, 2009 with memorial service to follow at 2:30PM at First Presbyterian Church Dallas. Dr. Cynthia Weeks Logan officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church Foundation.
