Mary Frances West's Obituary
Mary Frances West passed into Glory on September 25, 2019, and is now in the Presence of the LORD. She was 93 and a half years old, was a faithful prayer warrior, and a devoted servant of her LORD and Savior, Jesus Christ. Mary Frances was born in Waco, TX, on March 20, 1926, to Cecil Albert Roberts and Annie Betty (Ray) Roberts. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Betty Jane Thrall, brother, Cecil Albert Roberts, Jr.; her husband, Morris Corn West; and her son-in-law, H. Clem Mueller, M.D.Mary Frances grew up in Fort Worth, TX, and attended Texas Christian University, before volunteering as a driver for the Red Cross during World War II. She was married to Morris Corn West on November 29, 1947. She is survived by her four children: Pamela Mueller of Dallas, TX (the late Dr. H. Clem Mueller, and their children: Tiffany Menerey (Zac), Bert Mueller (Amanda), Caroline Glover (Wade), Juliana Webb (Ian), John Mueller (Veronica), Mary Catherine Mueller, Grace Mueller, and Matthew West Mueller), Elizabeth “Libby” Dahlin of Columbus, GA (Rich Dahlin, and their children: Will Dahlin (Karen), Maggie Paulus (Mike), Courtland Dahlin, and Cassie Dahlin), Melissa Willoughby of Dallas, TX (David Willoughby and Melissa’s children: Rachel Thompson (Chris), Kristin Patterson, and Robert Patterson), and Morris Roberts “Rob” West of Dallas, TX (Natalie Romano, and Gina Morton).Mary Frances West was active in many ministries over the years at Prestonwood Baptist Church, where she and her late husband, Morris, were founding members in 1977. For many years, she also was active in leadership roles in various clubs and organizations, such as, her Tennis Club, Bible studies, and her Junior Three Arts Club of Dallas. She and Morris enjoyed traveling with friends during the summer, ski trips in the winter and water skiing in the summer, hosting their family and friends at their Cedar Creek lake house year-round, and later, at their home on Hide-A-Way Lake. Of her many interests, Mary Frances enjoyed dancing with Morris, listening to music, reading, encouraging political involvement, playing bridge with her friends, golfing, spending time having lunch with her dear friends, oil painting, gardening, and daily working crossword puzzles quickly and in ink! For over 25 years, Mary Frances enjoyed her work as a Real Estate Broker in Dallas. She and Morris treasured family time with their children and grandchildren and loved attending the numerous musical concerts, ballet recitals, graduations, sporting events, church programs, and birthday parties each year.Mary Frances West is survived by four beloved children; her 16 amazing grandchildren and their families, and her 21 adorable great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all of her friends and family.The Memorial Service celebrating the life of Mary Frances West is scheduled for 10:00AM on October 14, 2019, at Prestonwood Baptist Church.
