Matilde Ruiz's Obituary
Matilde “Matt” Ruiz, 85 of Garland, Texas passed away Friday March 4, 2016 in Richardson, Texas. “He leaves behind his loving wife of 46 years, Esther Ruiz, along with three children; Adrian Ruiz, Alberto Ruiz and wife Norma, Esther Castillo and her husband Bernardo; 6 grandchildren, Cynthia, Lily, Cristina, Oliva, Isabella and Cruz”; his 4 brothers Hilario Ruiz and his wife Vacilia, Gonzalo Ruiz and his wife Graciela, Onofre Ruiz and his wife Antonia, Raul Ruiz and his wife Alicia; along with numerous nieces and nephews; and the rest of his family and friends. He was a hardworking man who worked for Gaylord Container for over 20 years before retiring in 1996. He enjoyed working and continued to work for many years at Auto Zone and then Sam’s before finally retiring at the age of 82 due to health reasons. He enjoyed taking care of his family and loved them unconditionally. He enjoyed reading books and the read the newspaper every day. He will be remembered for his thoughtfulness and considerate nature. Funeral Service will be held Monday March 7, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. at Restland Funeral Home, Abbey Chapel. Visitation will be Sunday March 6, 2016 at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m. with the Rosary being recited at 6:00 p.m… Burial will be at Restland Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
