Mattie was a long time member of Pleasant Grove Christian Church and in recent years, she attended Lake Pointe Church. As the matriarch of our family, she nurtured, loved and cared for all of us and we each hope to be as selfless, compassionate, kind and gentle as she was. She made every holiday and family gathering wonderful and she was famous for her homemade ice cream! We are thankful for the Christian values she taught us and we truly treasure the time we had with her.
Private visitation will be Friday at Restland Funeral Home followed by a private burial service. She will rest next to her much beloved, Chuck at the DFW National Cemetery. The family earnestly requests donations be made in her honor to Pleasant Grove Christian Church or to your favorite charity.
