Maudrie Rebecca Jones' Obituary
JONES,MAUDRIE R (Dovie), also known as Marjorie, age 96, passed away at home at 7:00 AM on Sunday, March 10, 2013. She was born in Barbados, West Indies. She was the daughter of Joseph Nathaniel and Gertrude Boyce. She was the wife of Ormond Jones, who preceded her in death, mother of Carlyle Jones, Marilyn Keyes, and Rayburn Jones. She was the sister of Cosbert Boyce of England, and was preceded in death by sisters, Miriam Watson, Geraldine Hurley, Carlotta Bailey, Ione Hewitt, Olga Coward, Ursula Tull and brothers, Mitchell and James Boyce. She was the aunt of Gladwin, Marva, Eunita, Eula, Coffey, and Avonda to name a few. She became a Jehovah Witness in 1956 and was a fearless and courageous minister of her God Jehovah who she dearly loved and spoke about him to doctors, police officers, friends and strangers alike. She attended the Spring Valley Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Richardson, Texas. Her hope is to be resurrected to a paradise earth under the rulership of God’s Kingdom in the hands of Jesus Christ. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on March 18, 2013 at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2:30 PM on March 19, 2013 at Restland Memorial Chapel.
