Maura Hanley was my neighbor and I feel honored to say we were friends, We talked almost every day either in person or on phone. I have such good memories of time spent with her doing simple things like going to grocery store together or like in the summer of us sitting by our swimming pool at night with our feet in the cool water chatting about anything and everything except three things! Politics, sex, and money! LoL
I would listen to her many stories that kept me entertained. I would bring a CD of old movies to watch like The Women (1939 version).
She had impeccable taste and we talked of our shared love for antique furniture and paintings. And our agreed thought that one should travel far and wide and often when you’re younger and feel good enough to do it. We would go to eat together at her fave Royal China or burgers in the car at Keller’s on NW Hwy or the search for the best bagel and blueberries muffins & pastries at a good bakery like Steins.
To Say I miss her is putting it lightly, but I am grateful for the times we had and the memories we made. She will live on in my heart and mind. 💐💕🙏🏻
