Maurice Johnson's Obituary
Maurice Johnson was born to the late Mosely Bell Johnson Sr. and Lossie Stimpson Johnson on April 30, 1938. He accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age and was baptized at the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church.
He attended and graduated from the Plano Independent School District, attended Prairie View A&M University before enlisting in the United States Marine Corps, were he received an Honorable Discharge. He worked over 30 years at Texas Instruments until his retirement.
He was affectionally know as “Jitter” and will forever be remembered as a true and kind man with a witty, cheerful personality. His favorite hobby was playing golf and amassed a showcase of trophies. He loved spending time with his daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and many friends.
Maurice was married to Patsy Ann Johnson and from this union four daughters were born.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Ann Johnson, his parents Mosley Bell Sr. and Lossie Johnson, brother, Mosey Bell Johnson, Jr.
He leaves to cherish his memories of four daughters: Paula McKinzie, Garland Texas, Sonja Butler (Derrick), Dallas, Texas, Margo Washington (James), Waxahachie, Texas, Diane Johnson, Houston, Texas; sister, Dorothy Louise Hannibal (James) Sun City West, Arizona. Maurice was the proud grandfather of five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
