MELTON, MAVIS NADINE Born April 17, 1922 in Belton, TX and passed away June 11, 2008 in Carrollton, TX. Mavis is survived by her son, Coleman Ray Coan and wife, Anita; daughter, Beverly Ann Coan; sons, Donald Bryan Coan and L. Davis Melton, Jr; sisters, Mildred Green of Waco, TX and Virginia Pryor of Dallas, TX. She was active as a hostess with the Widowed Person Society for 15 years. In her professional life she was a fashion designer who also loved gardening and antiques. Mavis lived in Waco, TX for 45 years then moved to Farmers Branch, TX in 1968.
