Maxine Scholl's Obituary
SCHOLL, MAXINE died peacefully on December 14th, at Baylor Medical Center at Plano. She was born in Pratt, Kansas on June 30, 1926, daughter of the late Alton and Marguerite Hardgrove. She moved to Dallas in 1944, enrolling in the St. Paul School of Nursing. Three years later, fulfilling her career dream, she became an R.N. Shortly thereafter, she married Ray M. Scholl, of Dallas. Soon, they moved to a new neighborhood, Lake Highlands, where they were life-long residents. Maxine served Dallas ISD as a school nurse for 31 years. She soothed, checked, and healed thousands of elementary children in the district. All those children were her love. Following retirement, she joined Rozella’s Senior Tap Dancers – thrilled to perform at senior centers, malls, or anywhere. Her golden years also provided opportunity for joyful travels with friends around the U.S. and Europe. Through all of her years, Maxine was sure of the Lord’s leading in, and hand on her life. Her service to patients, children, friends, and loved ones was the natural outflow of that assurance.She is survived by her beloved son and family: Ray and his wife, Margaret; Grandchildren: Matthew, Ben, and David; Sister: Beverly Eastes; Nieces & nephew: Gay Seyfert, Linda Maples, Carolyn Herring, and Greg Eastes. For all the help in Maxine’s later years, special thanks go to friends, neighbors, and the staff at Evergreen Assisted Living. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, December 19, at Restland’s Abbey Chapel, 13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas. Visitation at Restland will be Wednesday, December 18, from 6 to 8 p.m.
