Maxon Dare Lloyd's Obituary
Max Lloyd, age 92, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2019 in Mesquite, Texas. He was born January 7, 1927, in Norton, Texas to his loving parents Bus and Velma Lloyd. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy, Pacific Fleet, from December 1944 to June 1946 reaching the rank of Seaman First Class. Max married Annette Coglianese January 9, 1954 in Chicago, IL. For 37 years, beginning in 1949, he was a Telephone Switch Installer for Western Electric, at the time a division of AT&T, relocating across the Central Plains as the job demanded, settling in Dallas in 1963 with Annette and daughter Donna. His retirement years were filled with fishing, oil painting and caring for his grandchildren.He is survived by Donna Ann Lloyd Sellars of Mesquite Texas, son-in-law Keith Sellars also of Mesquite, two grandchildren, Eric Sellars and his wife Erin of San Jose, CA, Carrie Sellars of Dallas, two great granddaughters, Baker Elizabeth and Maxyn Emily Sellars, both of whom adored their Great Granddaddy. He was preceded in death by his spouse of 55 years, Annette, brother James Leslie Lloyd and parents Bus and Velma Lloyd. He will be sorely missed by his loving and large extended family, and devoted friends.At this time, a graveside service for Max is scheduled for Monday May 20, 2019 at 10:30 am at Restland Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday May 19, 2019 from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm at Restland Funeral Home.Funeral arrangements for Max have been made by Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery located at 13005 Greenville Ave., the intersection with Restland Road, Dallas, Texas 75243.
