Maydee Margaret Hyde's Obituary
HYDE, MAYDEE MARGARET, died peacefully, surrounded by her family, on July 2, 2013 at the age of 95. Born in Winters, Texas on November 9, 1917 to James Thomas Billups, Jr. and Ola Lee Hamons Billups, Margaret grew up near Howe, Texas. She later met and married Austin College student, Marvin Hyde in Sherman. They were married 67 years until Marvin’s death in 2009. After World War II, Margaret and Marvin moved to Dallas, where they raised two children and were longtime members of Park Cities Baptist Church. Margaret taught Sunday School and sang in the choir well into her 90’s. For over 25 years she was on the faculty at Thomas Jefferson High School. In addition to Marvin, Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, her stepfather, 3 brothers, and a sister. Survived by her son, Daniel of Houston; daughter, Debbie and husband, Tommy Harmon of Austin; grandson, Mark Harmon of Austin; granddaughter, Sarah and husband, Josh Patterson of Dallas; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Following a private burial, a Memorial Celebration will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at Park Cities Baptist Church, Ellis Chapel, Dr. Jack Martin officiating. A reception will follow at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Prime Time Ministry, Park Cities Baptist Church, 3933 NW Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75225
