McKinney, Jerry "Maudine"'s Obituary
Jerry Maudine McKinney passed away on January 3, 2019 at the age of 93. She was born along with her twin on June 28, 1925 to Edgar Britton and Anna Lenora (Holbrook) Cross in Prosper, TX. She grew up in Wylie, TX and married Raymond H. McKinney. They moved to Garland, TX where they raised their two daughters, Anna and Myra. She loved to cook, crochet, taking trips and spending time with her family and friends. Above all she loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It was important to her to be a good example for her children and grandchildren.She is preceded in death by her parents, Edgar Britton and Anna Lenora Cross, her husband, Raymond McKinney, her sisters, Maxine Williams, Martha Cryer and Marie Dickerson.Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Anna Garrett of Garland, TX, Myra Franklin and her husband, Mark of Branch, TX,GrandchildrenKristie Toler and husband, Randy of Allen, TX, Amber Garrett of Las Vegas, NV, Jamie Garrett of Garland, TX, Billy Strickland and wife, Monica of Carrollton, Lonnie Strickland and wife, Kelly of Allen, TX,Great GrandchildrenPreston Foley, Kayla Toler, Nathan Toler, Skyy Ricamore, Isabella Strickland, Maximilian Strickland, Samuel Strickland and Kaydee Strickland.Great Great GrandchildrenRainey and Harrison Foley and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.Services are as follows:Visitation January 14, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral HomeFuneral Service January 15, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Freeman Heights Baptist Church, Garland
