Melanie (Vail) Hester died peacefully in Dallas on June 16, 2020, at the age of 56. She is survived by her husband, Steve Hester, her daughter, Abby, and many loving friends and family. She will be dearly missed by her sister Mary Read Obituary
Family I am praying for you all at this sad time. I just learned about Melany and was shocked and saddened at the news. I couldn’t wait to see her again at Med City Plano pushing her cart with her happy smile. We worked together on that floor and had many conversations about our kids and life. She was funny sweet and friendly as well as so beautiful! I’ll miss her! -Teresa
I worked with Melanie at the hospital and we shared an office together. Oh I loved seeing her and talking with her and just gossiping about everyone and everything! The last time i spoke to her in April, she said she was coming back to work soon and couldn't wait to get back to work with the babies and to see me. I just found her obituary today and I'm saddened to hear this. I will miss her greatly: her laugh, her smile, her common sense! Praying for the family. I will miss the stories about you all as well.

Mel as many of us fondly called her, was a client/friend for several yrs until her cancer diagnosis. We shared many, many stories filled with mostly laughter & some tears. Her radiant smile, beautiful spirit along with her charismatic personality will be greatly missed. Never forgotten. My prayers are for the family & especially precious Abby. Mel was a sweet and caring person. She always had kind words to say and that smile could light up a room. She was truly a beautiful person inside and out! She is gone physically but her spirit lives on. Rest in peace dear friend!
