Melba Jean Austin's Obituary
Melba J. Austin was born on December 18, 1921 in Blueridge, Texas to Rufus and Esther Drain and passed away on October 30, 2015 in Mesquite, Texas. Melba spent numerous hours reading the bible, listening to bible tapes and watching television evangelists. She was extremely talented in arts and crafts, mainly oil painting and making dolls. Her favorite game show was the Wheel of Fortune and she loved her dogs. But most important to Melba was spending time with and being around her family. Melba is survived by her three children: son, Jerry Austin and wife, Zan; daughter, Judy Dalton and husband Charlie; daughter, Connie Austin; five grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Melba’s family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Restland Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Restland Memorial Park in the Garden of Ascension. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
