Melba Louise Grimland's Obituary
81, Passed away 12/17/2008 at home. Born in Reno, TX and raised in Paris, TX. Daughter of Ethel and Louie Cothran of Paris, TX. Melba was the youngest of eight children with 7 older brothers. She married David LeRoy Grimland in 1948. He preceded her in death in 1991. Melba is survived by three daughters, Janet Grimland, Kathryn Grimland both of Dallas, TX and Lauri Matheson and husband, Dr. Barry Matheson of Bristol, TN; three grandchildren: Christina Lee Matheson, Robert Ryan Matheson and Jennifer Lynn Matheson, all of Bristol, TN. She was a former employee of Vickery & Company, Dallas, TX and a member of Urbandale Christian Church, Dallas, TX. The family wishes to extend deepest and sincerest thanks for the love, support and exceptional care provided by Vitas Hospice during their loved one’s illness. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vitas Hospice, 8585 Stemmons Fwy, Dallas, TX 75247. Services will be held at 3:00PM, Saturday, December 20, 2008 at Restland Abbey Chapel with visitation one hour prior to service.
