Melinda Ruthe Allred's Obituary
Melinda “Mindy” Ruthe Allred was born June 16, 1956, in Kansas City, MO. She passed away unexpectedly, late Saturday afternoon, December 31, 2022 in Dallas, TX. She was surrounded by her husband, brother, son and his wife.
During her high school years, her family moved to Frankfurt, Germany. She graduated from Frankfurt American High School in 1974.
Following their stay in Germany, Mindy’s family relocated to Dallas, TX. It was in Dallas, where Mindy met and married, Thomas Wesley Allred, the love of her life for 27 years. Mindy’s working career ended as an Administrative Assistant with her retirement from the Dallas Independent School District. After her retirement, she spent many hours volunteering. Mindy showed wholehearted love and kindness to her family and friends, many times putting others needs in front of her own. She looked forward to being with all her grandchildren as much as possible. Their love to her was adored and cherished. Mindy also had immense love for her four-legged sweet dogs, including the ones she has left; Joy and Watson. She was an active supporter of the SPCA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James H. Boswell and mother, Virginia A Boswell.
Mindy is survived by her husband, Tom Allred, Dallas, TX; her son, Charlie McGregor and wife, Jessica, their children, Vanessa and Peyton, Addison, TX; Tom’s son, Tom Allred II and wife Melissa, their children Lucas and Lily, Argyle, TX; her brother Dennis Boswell and wife Cynthia, Lakeside TX; her two sisters, Sally B. Anderson and husband Tony, Duncanville, TX and Brenda B. Wilson, and husband James, Boerne, TX. She had numerous nieces and nephews, aunts, cousins and friends. As a friend of Bill W. for over 40 years, Mindy had many longtime friendships who provided each other with unconditional love and support.
She will always be remembered for her unconditional love and kindness to all of her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by many.
