My dear precious Melisa,

The first Christmas without you has come. I am so deeply saddened by your absence. You have left such a giant space that can never be filled. My heart is broken for you missing Michael’s ringing the bell to signify the end of his cancer treatment that you so longed see. And you will miss your little guy becoming a teenager in January. I pray that wherever you are in this universe that you will be there with him, applauding his successes and watching over his future. I love you with every fiber of my being and long for your presence and to hear your voice and your laughter. Be at peace my beautiful girl and know that you are loved and missed by all of us who loved you so dearly.
