Melissa Lynne Saunders' Obituary
Melissa Lynne Saunders passed away suddenly on September 26, 2018, in Midlothian, Virginia. She was born on January 18, 1979, in Dallas Texas to James K. and Paula S. Saunders, the first grandchild on both sides of the family.Melissa was a wonderful encourager to others, a good listener, compassionate, gifted in art, a reader, a loyal daughter, sister, cousin, granddaughter, niece, and friend. An empathetic soul, she deeply felt the pains of the world, and could not bear seeing anyone or any creature suffering. Her love for family, compassion, and kindnesses will be deeply missed.She was preceded in death by her father; grandparents Joan and Keith Saunders and John Sigalos; aunt, Cathryn Sigalos Odom, and uncle, Craig P. Merkel. She is survived by her partner, David Fulton; mother; brother, Matthew Saunders; sister, Alexandra Saunders Boyce, and her husband Dustin Boyce; grandmother, Georgia Sigalos; many treasured cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends; and her beloved daily companion, her English Mastiff, Bodie.A memorial service honoring her life and legacy will be held on October 6, 2018, at 12:30 pm at the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas TX 75243.
