When I think of Uncle Mel I think of the times we spent in Rose and Stan's kitchen. How funny Mel was and how comfortable he made me feel, always a part of the family. Bob and I are thinking of you Joan and wish you only the best during this difficult time. Love Janice and Bob

Dear Aunt Joan, We will always remember fondly our visit with you and Mel, several summers ago. You both were so welcoming and gracious, truly a pleasure to be with. We are so very sorry that we couldn't be with you during this very difficult time. I hope that having Jim, MJ, Peter and Susan there with you will bring you much comfort. Although we were not very close over the years, Uncle Mel and Aunt Joan were always talked about in our family. All the times they came to visit, the fun Midas Muffler things we got as gifts, and Uncle Mel and his cars. I have fond memories of being a child and when you came to visit Uncle Mel visiting with the "adults" for a few minutes and then him saying "ok kids lets get in the car and go for a ride down the beach" You will always be the "cool" Aunt and Uncle that got to see so much of the world and tell us all about it. And yes, Aunt Joan, I still have the charm bracelet with the charms from everywhere you went. It always reminds me of both of you.
