Dr. Melvin Lee Mosley's Obituary
Melvin Lee Mosley was born on March 26, 1961, with his twin brother (Marvin-deceased) in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He lived a full and exciting life which was full of laughter, accomplishments, and celebration. Melvin was called home to be with the Lord on May 17, 2022.
Melvin was born to Mary Lee Mosley and Joe Dumas. Those preceding Melvin in death include his mother, Mary Lee Mosley, his father, Joe Dumas, sisters, Nealie Love, Geneva Rhodes, Bettie Lollis, Glenda Mosley, and brothers, Governor Jackson, Leonard Mosley, and Marvin Lee Mosley.
Melvin attended Booker T. Washington High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He went on to earn his undergraduate degree at Oklahoma Christian University in Psychology/Political Science, his graduate degree in Human Resources/Training and Development from Amberton University and a Doctor of Management in Organizational Leadership from the University of Phoenix.
Melvin worked for Petron Energy II as the Chief Human Resource Officer. He also served as an Adjunct Professor for both Abilene Christian and Oklahoma Christian Universities in their Business Leadership Departments.
Melvin was an accomplished Bible school teacher in the church and a Human Resource Executive with over twenty-five years of experience in both endeavors. He utilized his knowledge and life experiences to work as a Bible school teacher and advocate for building fruitful lives and transformational leaders.
Melvin was a movie buff and could identify any movie! His favorite movies were The Lord of The Rings trilogy, and he was eagerly looking forward to watching The Rings of Power.
Anyone who knew Melvin would know that he was a SERIOUS college football and Raiders fan!!
Melvin was also a motivational speaker and the recipient of the Durward Howes Memorial Award (awarded by the U.S. Junior Chamber of Commerce) as an Outstanding Speaker in America.
Melvin’s most recent achievement was becoming an accomplished author of 4 books (all on Amazon).

Those left to cherish Melvin’s memory include his wife Annette Dingle-Mosley of Rowlett, Texas, brothers Kirk E. Mosley of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Luther R. Mosley (Lutricia) of Goodyear, Arizona; sisters, Jean Bolden, and Joyce Crocket both of Tyler, Texas; stepson, Bryan (Chana) Dingle of New Orleans, Louisiana. Melvin was very close to his nephew Kevin L. Barnett (Quinn) of Houston, Texas along with his sisters Yvonne and Yvette Barnett of Arlington, Texas, Josh Mosley (Sarah) of Forney, Texas and other host of nieces and nephews across the country. Melvin’s best friends in life consisted of Darrell Johnson (who was his college roommate), Sherry M. Lewis, Jason Moseley, Jim Adams, and Tyrone Hall along with other friends and life-long acquaintances.
