Merle “Gae” Brown was born on May 18, 1929, in Leonard, Texas and passed away on December 20, 2016 in San Marcos, Texas. Gae (the name given to her by her granddaughter) was preceded in death by Her mother, Margaret Elizabeth Bradford; her father, William Claude “Hoots” Bradford; her husband, James H. Watson; her sisters: Maude (twin), Nellie, Pauline and Jessie; her brothers: Leon, Bot, Hap, Bobby Joe, Dub, Hiram. Gae is survived by her daughter, Wendy Watson of Dallas & Wimberley, TX; her granddaughter, Sydney Jenkins of Dallas, TX; and 3 “extra blessing” grandchildren, Kaitlin Berry of Dallas, TX, Kevin Berry of Rockwall, TX and Sara Berry of Austin, TX; her brother: Tex Bradford of Ben Wheeler, TX; any many nieces, nephews and friends, young and old. In lieu of flowers, Gae would like a donation made to Border Collie Rescue & Rehab of Texas P.O. Box 682, Allen, TX 75013. To know her is to love her. Her unconditional love to everyone is her legacy. She is so incredibly missed. Continue to look and see the signs because she will still be your #1 fan. Service will be held on Friday, December 23, 2016, at 3 PM in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243.
