Merle Mayes Isom's Obituary
Merle Mayes Isom, age 107, of Dallas, passed away on October 10, 2017 in Fredericksburg, TX. She was born on April 26, 1910 in Lewisville, TX, the fourth of ten children born to Louise Duwe Mayes and Edgar Pleasant Mayes. Merle married Donald B. Isom in June of 1938. She was a school teacher for many years. Merle is preceded in death by her husband, Donald B. Isom and son, Charles D. Isom. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Isom Cannon, and husband Steve, of Fredericksburg, TX, sister Regina Stephens of Dallas, TX, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, relatives and friends. A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 15, 2017 beginning at 4:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 16, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Park Cities Baptist Church/Ellis Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Park Cities Baptist Church senior ministry.
