Mesye, my lovely Mesye, December has arrived; I've missed you every day over the past 13 years and will continue to miss you till we meet again. I always have something to remind me of you, my best friend. I grin, tears streaming down my cheeks, remembering your beautiful smile; I still hear the sound of your soft voice as you called my name.... Mesye, you and Dagimye were the best companions I ever had, and your departure from this world was equally heartbreaking. You needed to rest, yet you are still alive in my heart and mind. And Our days were always the happiest of my life, and the memories are my most cherished treasures. I love you. Adey

When death happened to our loved ones, we question why so soon? But the Lord has a reason for everything. She was a devoted worker at GUH and the department had lost great person. Mesi was a loving person. What I most remember about her was her smile, her jokes during lunch time and her honesty. I still remember the last time she was on duty; we were both assigned to the same unit. Early that afternoon, she called me to the Respiratory desk and stated "Omo, I am very weak and I don't think I can finish this shift with you". I looked through her eyes and I saw the pain on her face. Very uncharacteristic of her. My reply was Mesi, your health is very important. Please go and report your situation to the supervisor. That was the last that I saw of Mesi. She can never be replaced. But, I know she's gone to a place where pain, tears or sorrow are not known. I will miss you very dearly. From, Omo. God saw you getting tired when a cure was not to be, so He closed his arms around… you and whispered, "Come To Me". You didn't deserve what you went through and, He gave you rest, God's garden must be beautiful He only takes the best. In tears we saw you sinking we watched you fade away, our hearts were broken you fought so hard to stay. But when we saw you sleeping, so peacefully from pain, we couldn't wish you back to suffer the pain again. You're always in our heart !!

I am greatly saddened by the passing of Meselech. She was a God-loving, God-fearing, quiet and humble human being. My deepest condolences to Wr/O Mekedes, Tigist, Gelila and the rest of the family here in the US and in Ethiopia. May the Lord Jesus Christ give you all comfort in this time of great pain and loss.

Its been a few years since I talked with Meselech, I was thinking about her today and was looking for her telephone number, but decided to look online, thats when I saw this website. I didn't know that She was even had been ill, I can't belive this, but its just difficult to comprehend. Meselech was so calming, intelligent and amazing to me, I hope that I will see Meselech, again, when my life in ths World comes to an end, I look forward to it. Meselech was an example of how to conduct yourself in this journey on this Earth. I will miss Her even more. I can still remember the sound of Her voice, thats what I was anticipating hearing, today, as well as her wisdom. John 14 gives me strength. My breath has been taken away. Meselech was awesome.
